In Chapter 15 of the Southwestern story series, I detail how the end of my summer played out, along with a few final thoughts about the experience in general.
After making the choice to stay in New Mexico, I wrestled with whether or not that had been the wisest. The thought of a fresh start was intriguing, and maybe my approach had been wrong. But did I have it in me to start all over again? Luckily, my buddy Travis had my back.
After learning that my selling partner had quit, my own future in New Mexico seemed unclear.
Week eight brought about a realization that I was allowing all the “no”s to get the better of me. I needed a win in a bad way.
Despite a number of setbacks, I finally broke through and enjoyed some sales success. But at the end of the week, the losses greatly outweighed the gains.
